Dear Fawkner Netball Club Families,

We’d like to take a moment to remind everyone that our club is entirely run by volunteers. Every coach, committee member, team manager, is here because we are passionate about providing your child with the best netball experience possible. However, like everyone at our club, we also juggle our own commitments, families, and full-time work while dedicating countless hours to the Fawkner Netball Club.

To help us manage our time effectively, please ensure you have notifications turned on for Team App. This is our primary form of communication, and we are unable to follow up with individuals separately. Keeping notifications on ensures you receive important updates and avoid missing any key information.

Additionally, we kindly ask for prompt responses regarding game and training availability. A simple 30-second confirmation saves us HOURS of unnecessary follow-ups to ensure teams have enough players to take the court. This also includes notifying your coach if your child is unable to attend training. Our coaches spend a long time preparing drills and game plans each week, so we ask for the same respect in return through clear communication.

Game Day Assistance – Team Managers & Scorers
To ensure game days run smoothly, we still need team managers and scorers to assist. If a team does not have these roles filled, we will need to start allocating parents on a rotating basis. With Darebin Netball Association moving to live scoring, it’s even more crucial that we have these positions covered to provide the best experience for our players.

We have spent many hours getting everyone allocated and trained to ensure the team manager role runs smoothly. If you are unsure about anything, please reach out to us—we are here to help you and make your life easier. By working together, we can ensure everything runs efficiently, which ultimately benefits the entire club.

We truly appreciate every family who contributes to making this club a great place for our players. With over 300 members and a 100% volunteer-run structure, we rely on everyone to play their part. Many hands make light work, and your support helps us continue providing a fantastic netball experience for all.
